RECOGNIZING EMPLOYEE ACHIEVEMENTS – NOVEMBER 2021

It’s hard to believe that Christmas is less than 3 weeks away! As many of North Shore’s 2021 projects begin to wind down and we look forward to a much needed break, North Shore’s operational management team would like to take the time to recognize a few individuals who put in an exceptional effort last month. For the month of November, we would like to recognize the following:

Maxine Butler

Maxine has been an integral part of the Remediation/Reclamation team since she transitioned over to the Division in the fall of 2021. Maxine is diligent with her projects and can take on larger workloads while maintaining a high degree of organization and detail. She’s worked with both field staff and Senior Technical reviewers to ensure her projects and reporting are representative of our client’s expectations and requirements. Maxine provides support to the field staff to ensure that they have the necessary information available prior to initiating project work in the field. Maxine is a very versatile consultant at North Shore and is an asset to not only the Rem/Rec team, but to multiple Divisions within the company. Thank you, Maxine, for your high standard of work ethic, your ability to adapt and for your continued support to the organization.

Mallika Senevirathna

Since joining North Shore in August 2020 as a Senior Technical Advisor, Mallika has brought considerable hydrogeological experience and expertise to our complex contaminated sites projects. This includes analyzing and interpreting field and analytical data and developing Tier 2 site specific guidelines, Conceptual Site Models, Remedial Action Plans, and Risk Management Plans for various soil and groundwater contaminated sites. Her technical expertise and experience have driven continuous improvements in North Shore’s internal processes, templates and reporting. Mallika has presented at industry conferences and is well known within the organization for her ongoing contributions to the Remediation/Reclamation and Spill Divisions. She is always excited to embrace a new challenge and her contributions have made a huge impact in ensuring the success of client projects. Thank you for your dedication and effort Mallika, North Shore is very fortunate to have you as part of our team.

Galen Clarke

North Shore would like to recognize Galen Clarke this month for the tremendous work he does as a leader and mentor within North Shore. Galen is one of North Shore’s Senior Field Supervisors as part of the Remediation/Reclamation Division and he takes the role of mentoring and training new and junior staff seriously. Recently, North Shore kicked off a winter Phase 2 ESA program and Galen has been working with some of North Shore’s newer employees to ensure his colleagues, and the program itself, are setup for success. Galen has taken the time to support the team, answer questions, and show the other staff some tips and tricks that he has learned over the years. Thank you Galen for your hard work and level of dedication to support North Shore staff and ensure the program is completed safely to the client’s expectations!

Kyle Selle

Kyle has been a key member of North Shore’s Operational Compliance and Spill Response Divisions for several years and has recently begun to transition into a project manager role taking on more project and client specific responsibilities. His diverse skillset and field experience regarding contaminated sites and environmental assessments has made him a valuable asset to multiple Divisions within the company. Whether it be SST and Tier 2 assessments, emergency spill response, or groundwater investigations, Kyle is always willing to take on complex and interesting projects. Thank you, Kyle, for your attention to detail, great work ethic and your ability to roll with the punches and overcome challenges.  Keep up the good work!

Congratulations to these four individuals! North Shore would like to thank all its staff for their hard work and contributions throughout 2021. It has been an extremely busy year with many challenges but also many successes and we are excited for what 2022 may bring. We wish all our staff and contractors a safe and joyous holiday season with family and friends and look forward to a safe and successful 2022!
